In 2014, Rubik’s cube celebrated it’s 40th anniversary. For this occasion, Tesco Hungary launched a loyalty program which was more than a campaign; it was a celebration of creativity.
The fans of the magic cube could get toys and the Rubik patterned souvenirs exclusively in the 223 Tesco nationwide. Our task was to support the loyalty program by an integrated campaign, where digital met old-school creativity to create something unique for 2014. ATL activities included a TV-spot - using hand-made mock-ups instead of digital enhancement – print materials, and a Rubik Roadshow. The campaign went online too:
we created Facebook and mobile apps, post series and YouTube spots with Rubik Ernő’s video message and “how to” videos from experts. We’re proud to say, that in 2014, thousands of Christmas trees had a Rubik’s Cube under them, just like in 1974 when it was invented.
